Restored Painters also specialize in custom cabinet refinishing. Our cabinet refinishing process is a professionally proven method. Our process achieves the goal of getting a slick and marble like factory finish that most clients are going for. 

How we refinish our cabinets:

Upon arrival to your project site, our crew will begin by labeling, then removing all doors and drawers in order to transport them to the spray booth. 

On site, the fixed in body of the cabinets will be worked on first. Depending on the prexisting finish of your cabinets, prep work may vary. Typically they require a good sanding. Next, they will be degreased in order to remove years of accumulated cooking residue. Next, they will deglossed to dull out the current sheen. After that comes the prime. Oil based or alcohol based shellac will ensure a proper seal and lock out any stubborn stains that will bleed through to the finish color with most water based products. This coat will also ensure that the finish product adheres properly. After another very light sanding comes the finish color. Two coats of your choice color and sheen will be applied.  Once this process is completed, we repeat the same process to the doors and drawers. Once they have been properly prepped, they will be sprayed for a fine finish, front and back for two coats. Once dry time is achieved, we will transport them safely back to reinstall.        

This sounds labor intensive, because it is. Never underestimate cabinet refinishing. They are very touchy and texture shows!  Cabinets cost thousands of dollars without a paint finish and thousands more if you order them that way from the factory.
